Morocco, Spain, and Portugal have agreed to form joint commissions to coordinate their efforts in preparing to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
The decision was made during a meeting between Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), and Rafael Louzán, head of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), in Sala, a suburb of Rabat.
During the discussion, Fouzi Lekjaa stated, "The historical and cultural ties that unite Morocco and Spain highlight the need to accelerate the creation of joint commissions among the three countries to ensure the successful organization of the 2030 FIFA World Cup."
This trilateral collaboration reflects a growing spirit of cooperation in world football and a shared vision to deliver an exceptional World Cup experience.
The 2030 tournament will be the first to be hosted by three countries—Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. Beyond football, this joint bid aims to leave a lasting legacy by boosting tourism, business, and cultural exchange in the region.
