If awarded the FIFA World Cup 2034, Saudi Arabia aims to create one of the most-watched tournaments in history, offering unforgettable experiences and establishing itself as a major global sports hub.
 
Saudi Arabia plans to build 11 new stadiums in five cities as part of their bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup Football. FIFA World Cup 2034 matches will be hosted in five main cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Abha, and NEOM, a proposed future city project, according to the bid document as revealed by the Saudi Press Agency.
A delegation from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, led by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, officially submitted the bid file  to FIFA in Paris on July 29, 2024.

Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar

The five host cities will feature 15 advanced stadiums, including 11 new ones. Riyadh will have eight stadiums, including the new King Salman Stadium, which can hold over 92,000 spectators and will host the opening and final matches, becoming the main stadium for the Saudi national team.

In Riyadh, the new King Salman Stadium and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya have been announced. The latter, with its three-tiered stands and views of Tuwaiq Mountain, features a futuristic design with colored glass and LED screens. The King Fahd International Stadium will also be upgraded to hold over 70,000 spectators.

In Jeddah, the new Jeddah Central Stadium will have a design inspired by historic Jeddah Al-Balad, while the coastal stadium in King Abdullah Economic City will reflect the beauty of the Red Sea's coral reefs.

In Al Khobar, Aramco Stadium will be on the Arabian Gulf coast with a sea-inspired design featuring intertwined sails and wave-like decorations.

King Khalid University Stadium in Abha is expanding to over 45,000 seats for the World Cup, focusing on infrastructure updates and sustainability.

NEOM Stadium, located 350 meters high within "The Line," will offer an unprecedented football experience powered by wind and solar energy.

The hosting plan includes 10 supporting cities for team camps and training, each offering unique tourist experiences. Over 230,000 rooms will be available across host and support cities for VIPs, teams, media, and fans.

132 training centers in 15 cities will accommodate the 48 participating teams, with 72 designated training stadiums and two referee centers. The FIFA Fan Festival will be held at 10 locations, including King Salman Park in Riyadh and Jeddah Waterfront.
