The UAE Football Association (UAE FA) has officially submitted its bid to host the 2031 AFC Asian Cup.

This follows an invitation from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for national federations to express their interest in organizing the prestigious tournament.

The UAE FA confirmed the submission through its official social media channels.

According to the UAE FA, it is preparing a comprehensive bid file that meets all the necessary requirements to host Asia’s premier football competition.

The UAE has previously hosted the Asian Cup twice, first in 1996 and again in 2019. The most recent edition was held and won by Qatar, while Saudi Arabia is set to host the next tournament in 2027.

Beyond the Asian Cup, the UAE has demonstrated its capability to host major international sporting events, including the FIFA Club World Cup and the Youth and Junior World Cups.

In a statement posted on social media, UAE FA President Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan highlighted the country's expertise in organizing major sporting events, emphasizing its strong infrastructure and successful track record. He expressed confidence that the 2031 Asian Cup would be a standout edition, offering an exceptional and unforgettable experience for players and fans alike.
