Arsenal have struck a verbal agreement with Manchester City to bring Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Emirates Stadium, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano
The Gunners have made no mistake of bolstering their ranks this summer in a bid to finally secure a top-four Premier League finish. Four signings have already arrived, but more are in the pipeline. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants cover for left-back and in his defence. He had initially looked at Lisandro Martinez, but Manchester United have poached the Argentine from Ajax. As a result, Ukraine international Zinchenko emerged as an Arsenal target earlier this week.
The Gunners made Anderlecht’s Sergio Gomez a back-up target, but their Zinchenko approach is now going smoothly. Zinchenko will cost the Gunners around £30million, following reports that the fee could reach as much as £35million.
